você deve instalar o service pack 1 que dá suporta ao dreiver da via e o driver você pode pegar aqui

The information and driver package below is applicable to both the VT6202 and VT6212 controllers. It contains complete driver set for Win98/SE/ME and is multi-lingual.

For Win2K and WinXP, due to licensing agreements, a VIA USB2 driver package cannot be distributed online. Driver support for VIA USB 2.0 controllers requires Windows XP SP1 (Service Pack 1), Windows 2000 SP4, or system upgrade through Windows Update. Alternatively, please contact your motherboard manufacturer or the manufacturer of the USB 2.0 PCI card if you have misplaced their driver CD.

Under Win2k and WinXP, the VIA USB2 driver package below can be installed after the Microsoft driver to further improve device compatibility.

To install the driver, save any unsaved work and close all applications then click on the driver download link (above). Choose the "Save File" option and save it to your folder under Windows where you file your drivers. Unzip the file. (To unzip the file right click and highlight "Extract All") Then double click on the Setup.exe file to run the installation program. Follow the prompts and restart at the end of the installation.
